In the warm accoustic of the restored 12th-century church of Brinkburn Priory (Longframlington, Morpeth, Northumberland - NE65 8AR) a performance shared with Morpeth Waites.

Six musicians from Morpeth performing songs, ballads, street music and consort pieces from the 15th and 16th centuries. Sometimes boisterous or bawdy, many melodies have a familiar feel as they are an important source of many 'folk tunes' and country dances still in use. Recorders, sackbut, fiddle, rebec, lute, bassoon, flute, drums ... and voices.

The concert is free once you have paid the usual entry charge for Brinkburn Priory:
