Plans for 2020

Communal responses to COVID-19 have swept way our plans for 2020. Performances have been postponed (see below), but we are still enjoying the music and looking forward to the days when we will be able to sing in public again:

Chant at Fountains Abbey

Our plans to sing Cistercian chant in this ruined Cistercian abbey in October 2020 have been cancelled.


We hope to be able to sing in this beautiful setting in October 2021

We are exploring the possibilities of rehearsal and learning on line with:

  • training recordings of pieces ofr next year's programmes
  • possible workshops or rehearsals via Zoom or other online conference technologies

Becket, Byrd and a Rare Book

Sadly we have postponed our performance to mark the 800th anniversary of the reburial of St Thomas of Canterbury in Canterbury Cathedral


We might be able to mark the 801st anniversary in July 2021
